Pregnant & Postpartum Parent Party

Join us for an afternoon of celebration, connection, and care for pregnant and newly postpartum parents on the South Side.

We are so excited to invite you to our Pregnant and Postpartum Parent Party, brought to you in partnership with Chicago United Solidarity Project and Molina Health! This event is a joyful community gathering designed to support families as they move through pregnancy and early parenthood. Whether this is your first baby or your fourth, you are welcome here!

Together, we'll share resources, build community, and make sure parents have access to the support they need to feel confident and cared for.

Throughout the afternoon, families will have access to...

  • Free maternity, baby, and household care essentials

  • Vital sign screenings with midwives

  • Lactation support from specialists

  • Sign-ups for free postpartum home visits with doulas

  • A by-donation maternity photo booth

  • Two short maternal wellness workshops

  • Chair massage by donation

  • A dedicated kids activity space

  • A nursing station for feeding and rest

  • Village-building activities to connect with other parents

  • Live music by DJ Mo Mami

  • Refreshments, beverages, and a seasonal mocktail menu

Community partners from across the South Side will also be present to share programs, services, and opportunities for ongoing support.

Parenthood is not meant to be navigated alone. This event is an invitation to celebrate pregnancy and postpartum traditions, connect with other parents and families, access trusted local resources, and learn more about maternal wellness and community-based care. We're especially excited to welcome families who are newly pregnant, newly postpartum, or connecting with the Chicago South Side Birth Center community for the first time.

Who is this event for?
This gathering is open to pregnant parents, newly postpartum parents, families with infants, partners and support people, and children attending with caregivers. If you plan to bring children, please let us know when you register so we can plan for child support accordingly.

Supplies in our free store are limited, and registration helps us prepare enough support items for everyone attending. We hope you'll join us for an afternoon of care, celebration, and community!
